The socialist candidate for mayor of Murcia, Pedro López, took part yesterday afternoon in a meeting with some fifty neighbors and representatives of major groups of Beniaján as the Neighborhood Association, Columbares CEPAIM Foundation, Center for Women's Center Elderly, Association of People Affected by Reguerón Highway, Agrupación Musical AMPAS Beniaján and educational centers (IES Beniaján, CEIP Nuestra Senora de la Fuensanta and Monteazahar CEIP).
With this act, Pedro Lopez takes the initiative called 'Citizen Encounters' with which it aims above all to know the main demands of the residents.
The candidate explained to the audience the main lines of his political project but especially struck first hand the voice of the residents to incorporate in its election manifesto.
Those attending the conference moved to the Socialist candidate concern over the delay of the start of construction of the sports complex, a project that was awarded last year and is still paralyzed.
Also, residents expressed their complaints about the malfunctioning of public transport and demanded the implementation of a direct line to the UMU.
In addition, sued the Socialist candidate for mayor to reopen the emergency department at the Health Center, not only to serve their own parish but to other populations of the Southern Cordillera.
Pedro Lopez also expressed his discontent with the village headman's performance hindering citizen participation in decision-making.
For its part, the Socialist candidate pledged to respond to the situations in the conference and announced he will return soon to Beniaján to account for the efforts from the Socialist Party to solve their problems.
