The Center for Public Opinion Studies Murciano, composed mostly by professors from the University of Murcia, has achieved the Professional Award in Political Science and Sociology Professor and Researcher category.
This research group has developed the first Public Opinion Barometer of the Region of Murcia, issued in 2000, 2002 and 2003 and the Electoral Atlas, published jointly with the Seneca Foundation and the Center for Sociological Research.
Since 2006, several members continued their research under the project "The impact of regional and general election campaigns in the decision to vote in Murcia."
In 2008 founded the Center of Studies with the aim of institutionalizing the Public Opinion Barometer of the Region of Murcia within a homologous with other experiences in various regions.
He now works at the biannual studies public opinion, barometric nature, to establish series of reliable and valid indicators for the Region, and other studies.
Its members include Ismael Crespo, Antonio Martínez, Juan José García, Antonio Garrido, Ana Millán, José Francisco Parra, Pilar Ortiz and Antonia González.
