Councillor for IU-LV in Murcia, Esther Herguedas, today denounced the "indifference" of the city of Murcia to preserve the protected heritage of the municipality and has criticized the piping works carried out in the vicinity of Molino del Amor, considering to "get serious attempt" against this good.

Herguedas explained that the protection of Molino del Amor included in the General Urban Plan (Plan) of Murcia "has not been respected" and that the piping of the canal prevents the passage of water and has plugged one of his gates with concrete and brick, which affects their fundamental structure.

Therefore, the mayor of the leftist coalition has called for municipal intervention and asked the government team Murcia City Council to "stop protecting the illegal actions" of the Board of Landowners, led by Siegfried Hernández.
