Two weeks after the resolution of the International Campus of Excellence 2010, can be said that society has turned to Murcia Campus Mare Nostrum, a joint project developed by the University of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic with which both institutions are presented that notice.
Accompanying the two universities in this initiative, the main public and private companies with interests in the region of Murcia.
The Campus Mare Nostrum has identified economic development needs and major challenges facing the Region of Murcia, shared by the countries of the Mediterranean.
Some of these offers various pockets of excellence, including the account is based Bioeconomy agri-food, quality of life and health technologies, or the Mediterranean Sea and naval technologies and the sea.
Very good yardstick of societal involvement in the project Murcia is the participation of about one hundred, and average people in as many videos have been posted on youtube, where expressed his belief in the category of applicants, and views on the importance it can have on the development of the Region of Murcia in general and for the two public institutions in particular the achievement of the Campus of Excellence.
Representatives of students and outstanding students from both universities, Administration and Services, and teachers in both the Universities of Murcia and Cartagena, as other cities around the national scene, former students now turned into outstanding professionals, scholars association or trade unions, journalists and judges, mayors, members of various academies, responsible NGOs, athletes, scientists and artists supporting the initiative, which also includes diverse professionals.
