The Department of Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, who heads Beatriz Hontoria, begins a series of lectures in secondary schools and colleges in the city to bring students to the work of the NGOs working in the municipality that international cooperation and to raise awareness of the need to help the poorest countries.
NGOs participate in these talks to exhibit their work in disadvantaged countries and speak in first person from his experience.
The first visit was made this morning at IES Miguel Espinosa (St. Basil) with the participation of Blue in Action.
The aim is to convey to younger values based on solidarity and social commitment, create interest in development cooperation and reduce discriminatory behavior by students toward immigrants.
This initiative is part of the activities planned to mark the Day of Cooperating.
The City has also organized a photo exhibition at the Centro Municipal del Carmen, which will be open until Friday.
