The Councillor for Education and Youth, María Dolores Sánchez, along with Heads of Service and the Department of Youth technicians have met with managers and leaders of extracurricular activities of the 26 HEIs in the municipality to inform them about the offer of the City Council to schools and students.
The City Council and explained technical projects for secondary schools as 'Europe Day' contest 'Entreculturas', the competition to design the mascot of the tram, etc.
They also presented the 'Club of Languages', a meeting between Spanish youths and others from different nationalities to learn languages.
Also, we will continue with the work of correspondents in the IES Informajoven, Youth Information Points are created at each site, and the possibility that students receive assistance from the Legal, Psychological and Academic-labor Informajoven in the IES.
Finally, we discussed the partnerships that keeps the City Council with secondary schools to develop school activities for students.
The deadline to have the IES to apply to the Department extracurricular activities ends on October 20.
María Dolores Sánchez said that the relationship of the Youth Council with the IES is very fluid and throughout the year will keep you informed of new projects that IES and students can participate.
