The renowned painter and sculptor, Christopher Gabarrón be part of the delegation to Murcia on Tuesday defended in the Reina Sofia in Madrid, the candidacy of the city of Murcia as European Cultural Capital 2016.
The appointment is at 11.30.
The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, the delegation chair for half an hour, state the details of the project before a tribunal appointed by the National Government and the European Union.
Among the details that expose the delegation include the 365 cultural events scheduled in 16 categories, and the 16 keys that underpin the application of Murcia, opposite to other Spanish cities.
The initiative, among other proposals, including the creation of a conference center, a cultural center in the Old Jail, innovative and open, a stage for opera and ballet, and a museum of design and architecture.
During the first part of the intervention is a video screened to the jury, which will present their accession the President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, the President of Cajamurcia, Carlos Egea, Ambassador Inocencio Arias, the composer Roque Baños the Rector of the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, Josefina García Lozano, and the children's section of the Coral Discantus, among others.
