The Governing Council authorized the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, and the University of Murcia to teach the first Master's Degree in Performing Arts, which will enable doctoral degree under the new Area European Education.

The aim of this Masters is to further training and research quality of the School of Dramatic Art Murcia and offer specialized training in the Performing Arts.

The signing of this agreement will foster interdisciplinary collaboration, linking the theater studies to the broader scope of the humanities and social sciences, and provide access to research in this area through the doctorate.

The University of Murcia and the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment will provide the facilities, infrastructure and human and material resources necessary for the development of this Master, which will be launched during this academic year 2010-2011.
