The University of Murcia has recognized students who began their studies in the educational institution with one of the best academic performance scholarships, Caja Mediterráneo has sponsored.
In total 33 students were honored, which were awarded aid for their grades in high school, and the winner of the I Olympiad Informatics Murcia.
The event, held in the House of Literature in the presence of many deans and other university community members, was chaired by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, the president of the Territorial Council in Murcia Caja Mediterráneo, Angel Martinez, Director General of Universities and Scientific Policy, Eduardo Osuna.
The Rector thanked the students for excellence confidence in the institution and assured them that they have chosen a "good college, major in teaching and research in the Spanish scene."
Cobacho noted that there would be no university without students, "so teaching is the primary mission of higher education," stressed the president.
He also thanked the efforts of sponsorship and social work Caja Mediterráneo, Murcia whose president reaffirmed the commitment of the bank to continue supporting this initiative.
At the event, also met the Vice Chancellor of University Extension, Francisco Guillermo Diaz, promoter of aid, and regional director in Murcia Caja Mediterráneo, Ildefonso Riquelme.
