Current TV, new trends and possibilities that are emerging in this field are some of the themes explored during the International University of the Sea "The convergence communication on television."
The course is run by John Thomas Frutos, professor at the University of Murcia and Chairman of the Press Association of Murcia, and will be held in the Hotel Don Juan de Aguilas between 13 and 17 September.
The course presents among its objectives is to make a review to the audiovisual media landscape, spread the role and functions of local self-government media, and analyze the forms and spaces that prevail in our country, proposing alternatives.
Also responsible explore new technologies related to this area and address the links between media, education and culture.
During the development of the activity will be workshops that seek to foster a closer and knowledge to daily work in the media.
Teachers participate in the course of the University of Murcia and Elche, as well as directors, writers and other professionals from different Spanish media, including Fernando González Urbaneja, President of the Press Association of Madrid, and Vicente Vallés Choclan, director of Spain program within 24 hours of TVE.
The course consists of 30 hours and it is expected that students who request can obtain three free credits.
The registration period is open until September 12.
