The University of Murcia bid for the academic year starting in September an official Master of Osteopathy, Physiotherapy aimed at graduates and to be taught at the European School of Osteopathy, which is attached to the educational institution.
The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and director, from now, College of Osteopathy, José Soler, disclosed the features of the official master, which, with a duration of 1,500 hours of teaching spread over 120 credits, will run for two years and given the possibility of a doctorate later.
José Soler said in Convalescence building with the provision of these studies "will get what we wanted as a school, a college degree formalized training in Osteopathy."
Osteopathy Soler recalled that part of the university studies of the more advanced countries of Europe, like France, England and Belgium, and begins to implant in others like Germany, Portugal and Spain itself.
For the director of the School of Osteopathic this Masters is unlike others that are offered in Spanish universities for the most number of hours and practical content, "which gives a highly professional character."
The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, noted that there is a significant leap in passing the master of its own officers and showed the joy of the institution he presides to offer society and the regions bordering Murcia few studies focusing on this discipline.
The chancellor announced that the Masters Cobacho will be led by Professor of Human Anatomy and Psychobiology Ginés Doménech Ratto.
In the press conference also informed that it has formed a foundation to build a new School of Osteopathy, which will replace existing facilities Murcia Avenida de la Fama.
The new headquarters will be on land situated in the Avenida Juan Carlos I and is expected to be a reality within three years.
