The Governing Board has finally awarded the purchase of eight electric vehicles, the purchase will be funded in full by the Autonomous Community and to replace eight other municipal fleet vehicles.
These cars will go to the various municipal services.
Specifically the company will Comarth Murcia, and two models:
- Cross Rider Model: Four-square, with a range of 60 kilometers and battery being charged in four hours.
- Model Toy Rider: With GPS and autonomy of 60 miles.
The speed of both vehicles is about 50 kilometers per hour, making it ideal for driving on city.
These new cars will not produce any polluting emissions to the environment, plus virtually no noises.
Thus, these eight vehicles will emit into the atmosphere of 1069.6 grams of CO2 into the atmosphere per mile
This will meet another measure of the Local Strategy to Combat Climate Change, established by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, in late 2007 and which stated that it would gradually replace the municipal vehicle fleet with more efficient .
Remember that the Mayor recently signed a protocol of actions with Iberdrola to design a network of charging electric vehicles and the purchase of equipment and installation thereof in public spaces.
The interest of the City by encouraging the use of these vehicles is shown in the municipal taxes collected since 2008 a bonus of 30% in vehicle tax for the first three years for electric cars with low emissions.
This year nearly a thousand people will benefit from the measure.
Similarly, the service contract for street cleaning and waste collection pick up on the specifications required to join the fleet of gas or electric vehicles.
