Murcia City Council is carrying out an important role in reconciling work and family life.
A reconciliation by which also works during the summer months.
The Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare Policy and Equality, María del Carmen Pelegrin, visited this morning the summer schools that develop in the centers of Juan Carlos I and Bacons Bridge.
Both schools have offered this summer a total of 345 seats, which is reserved for each school, 40 for youth referred by the City Council from Social Welfare and Social Services, which do not pay for attendance rates or dining room.
Also, 4 seats reserved for children with disabilities.
During the summer, the problem of reconciling work and family life are magnified in families, as there are few spaces where children can go while their parents conduct their workday.
The aim is that mothers and working parents, provide a public resource where they can be served their children according to the principles of the Law 39/99 of 5 November Reconciling family and professional life of working people.
From the Comprehensive Center for Children and Reconciling Work and Family Life extending the hours for minors, proposing a program of socio-educational, non-formal educational and entertainment where they can perform a range of leisure and free time workshops, excursions, sports, games, developing and participating in social relations, respect for others and the environment.
This year marks the International Year of Biodiversity, declared by the General Assembly of the United Nations, so there will be activities related to this field, climate change, energy sustainability, preservation of fauna and flora, etc..
