4843 estates neighborhoods and districts have been visited by agents assigned to the Community Police Service since the program was introduced three months ago, on 15 April.
Its creation was the desire of the government team to continue to have a local police next to Murcia, which is why this service was designed to function as a direct link between neighboring communities and agents.
In order to strengthen this program, the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has this morning signed a collaboration agreement with the President of the Association of Property Administrators in Murcia, Felipe López Alarcón, in order to ensure the proper development and functioning of this service .
Each neighboring community is assigned a local police for receiving suggestions, complaints or incidents that may occur, referred to the appropriate administrative body or mediating on issues that community police.
In the first quarter of operation, the 136 officers added to the program have visited 3,310 properties in neighborhoods and 1,533 in villages.
In each of them has been delivered to the president of a business card with telephone number (968358787), fax (968358786) and email ( policiadecomunidad@ayto-murcia.es ) of the service and as a triptych in which police said the figure of the community and its goals.
In total, 28,000 cards have been distributed and 46,000 information leaflets.
In this first contact, and collect data from farms, presidents have raised to almost a hundred agents demands, most of which responded to issues related to administrative police (62 cases), as well as security ( 19), traffic (18) and care services (1).
Noise nuisance to neighbors, the botelleo, improper parking, the pet ordinance and issues related to public insecurity have been the most raised.
A Police anticipates problems
These are in addition to 1,200 telephone inquiries received and the 94 requests made to the police community.
This program will cover different objectives and address issues raised by the city, mediate neighborhood conflicts, give a concrete and personalized response to complaints or suggestions from citizens and to prevent and anticipate problems.
The agents assigned to this program are among its main functions to provide a police service approach to the local community, receiving information, incidents, problems and giving them the appropriate treatment.
Also propose a mediation, conciliation and resolution to problems that community police.
'The Police in your community' is the latest initiative launched in 1995 with the aim of bringing the police service to citizens, special care service for people with hearing and language, customer service and relationships the city, the police box, the Panel on Public Safety, the Police Tutor, the District Police and the Mobile Office of Citizen.
