The Municipal Socialist Group today delivered the prizes to the winners of the first photo contest 'And you.
What Murcia live? "
convened to highlight the imbalances that have arisen during the years of Popular Party rule from the center of the city and its neighborhoods and districts.
In this sense, the contest format required to send a pair of photographs, the first dedicated to a color image from the center of Murcia on a particular service and the second at an image equivalent of a district but in black and white.
The distinguished jury that these photographs was made by a committee comprising officials of the PSOE in the municipality of Murcia, teachers, experts in image and professional photographers.
After discussion in which they stressed the high quality of the papers, decided the following decision:
- The first prize of 600 euros, went to the couple of images entitled 'The swing of my children' by the photographer Ruben Lucas Garcia, who contrasts the perfect swing in the square in front of the Science Museum the advanced deterioration of another swing at the park on the street Madrid Espinardo.
- The second prize of 400 euros, has been awarded to a pair of photographs sent by Angel Lopez Romero, depicting the good conservation of the Great Road sidewalk in front of the poor condition of other sidewalk Espinardo.
- The festival has awarded third in the series of photographs called 'Bank to relax' by Fuensanta Salas Herrero, with a prize of 200 euros, showing a bank of La Glorieta in Spain and another bank invaded by weed The Beniaján Azacaya.
The competition included two runners, one at a pair of images voted by the citizens who visited the exhibition and one to the pair voted by Internet users in the online gallery www.murciapsoe.es enabled on the web.
The first coincided with the jury's verdict as the pair of images 'The swing of my children' has been a favorite in the popular vote while the latter has been on a couple of images sent by Pedro Carrasco Canelo consisting a photograph of mall cinemas Zig-Zag and one of the old film version of Ñora.

A selection of 108 images formed an exhibition that was held in late June in various public spaces in the center of Murcia (Plaza Santo Domingo and Floridablanca Garden) and districts such as El Palmar, Beniaján, Bacons Bridge, La Ñora, Espinardo and Stables registering more than 5,000 visits.
For its part, the online gallery of images has surpassed the 1,400 visits.
