The eco-car prototype "Salzillo III", developed by the University of Murcia and who has participated in an international marathon, will be on display until 31 August at the Mall "Thader."
The minimum consumption vehicle powered by ethanol has been built by students and faculty of the University and in the competition held at Lausitz (Germany) last May got travel nearly 279 kilometers on one liter of gasoline equivalent.
The team from the University of Murcia was the only Spanish who scored in this difficult category of biofuels.
The car is 2.6 meters long and 0.65 inches wide, weighing forty kilos and address type front zipper.
In line with the development of "environmentally friendly, the same college team is currently working, among other lines of investigation, a fully electric car powered by solar energy.
This car will compete in 2010 Solar Race in Murcia, whose first edition will be held next October.
