The Virgin of the Hazard returns to his niche after being restored by Culture (09/07/2010)

The Director of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, Enrique Ujaldón today presented the image of the Virgin of the hazards after being rehabilitated at the Center for Restoration of the Region of Murcia.

The work, which involves an investment of 18,000 euros with a deadline of five months, has involved the consolidation, cleaning, coating, chromatic reintegration differentiated by the technique of regattino and final varnishing.

It is a carved wooden sculpture enlienzada later polychrome oil, from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

The image showed a poor condition and showed polychromy dirt.

After its restoration, the image returns to the niche located in the Old Bridge in Murcia.
