Thirteen students from the University of Murcia have been awarded in the convocation of the national awards for excellence in academic performance during 2007-2008, of which three have won first prize.
Specifically, it is Jesus' Immaculate Guirao Arboleda, Luis Soler and Alicia Rodriguez Montalban Guirao, who have been first prize in the degrees of English, Optometry and Business, respectively.
The University of Murcia, with its president, José Antonio Cobacho, head, offered today in the building of Convalescence, an act of institutional recognition awarded to thirteen students.
Francisco González-Conde Miguel Ortiz won the second prize of the race of Labor Relations, while third prize went to Salvador Gil Guirado, Geography, Ana María Giménez Gualdo, Social Education, Marina Martin Melgarejo, Environmental Sciences, and Mary Ángeles Rodríguez Alonso, philology.
Also, Antonio Domingo García Ramos, Hispanic Studies, Marta Lorenzo Lopez, Biochemistry, Madrigal Manuel Canovas, history, Antonio Martinez Alcaraz, Fine Arts, and Fabiola Soler Forge, Psychology, received honorable mentions.
The winning students were accompanied at the tribute of many families and the deans of the faculties where he studies.
The ceremony also was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the University, Juan Bernal, and members of the team rector.
