The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the operation `KUJATA, has arrested the four members of a criminal group dedicated to import and distribute counterfeit products.
The arrested, who are attributed the alleged authorship of an offense against industrial property, were caught in the hamlet of Lobosillo while moving the goods.
Agents of the Benemérita, while providing services aimed at preventing the commission of criminal acts in the area of ​​the Murcia capital, detected several individuals around a van that generated certain suspicions.
After a discreet follow-up, the civil guards verified that the suspects were unloading large packages of the van and were keeping them in the box of a truck used as a warehouse.
To verify the facts and in order to avoid the commission of an alleged crime, investigators approached the place but at that moment, after noticing the police presence, the suspects fled.
The Meritorious made a thorough inspection of the place of the facts and found that there were 17 packages containing a large amount of allegedly counterfeit textile garments, so they were seized along with the vehicle used, machinery and utensils to package and distribute the merchandise.
The agents have accounted for a total of 6,700 items of clothing, among which are pants, T-shirts, swimsuits, soccer equipements and other garments, all from prestigious brands.
The technical-ocular inspection carried out in the place of the seizure, as well as other procedures, allowed the identification of the four individuals who were allegedly behind the illicit activity investigated, for which a search device was established on them.
The device has culminated in the location, detention and subsequent judicial disposal of suspects as alleged perpetrators of an industrial property crime.
In addition, one of them has been placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction of Algeciras (Cádiz), to weigh on him a requisition in force.
The investigation shows that those now arrested, allegedly, imported the counterfeit material from Morocco and later planned to distribute it by different provinces of the Spanish Levant.
The detainees of Spanish and Moroccan nationality and aged between 22 and 53 years, the effects seized and the proceedings conducted have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia.
