Representatives of different organizations such as: UNICEF, Red Cross-Murcia, NGO Solidarity Surgery and UME, among others, have participated in the second and last day of the Conference on Development Cooperation and Volunteering, which are held at the UCAM.

The main issues on which it has been reflected are: international humanitarian aid, catastrophes and crisis management, creativity and cooperation, among other issues.

There are several agreements between UNICEF and the universities of the Region of Murcia to encourage volunteering.

In general, the profile of the university student is cooperative and helps us to spread the rights of children, said Amparo Marzal Martínez, president of the Autonomous Committee of Murcia.

"Spain was a recipient country until the seventies of funds from UNICEF, right now it is not and it has become one of the main donors of the world occupying the fifth place, what we were given we are very grateful to be able to return it" insured Marzal Martínez.

"Help requires selfless collaboration," is the message he conveyed to attendees, Juan Roldán Ruiz, director of the Degrees in Architecture and Building Engineering at the Catholic University, who also commented that students and teachers are trained in the preparation of habitat designs and defense and shelter systems in the face of catastrophes.

It should be noted that in the closing ceremony of these days have participated: Javier Moreno Miguel, Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry.

Head of the III Emergency Intervention Battalion of the UME, and Mady Cisse Ba, president of the Federation of African Associations in Murcia.
