Murcia City Council collaborates with the collective 'No te prives' in the development of prevention and health protection programs (27/04/2018)

The Governing Board, in its weekly meeting, has given its approval to the granting of a subsidy to the group 'No te prives', of lesbians, gays, transsexuals and bisexuals for the development of activities of protection and prevention of health.

Thus, the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello, has granted a grant amounting to 8,000 euros, and will serve especially for the realization in the municipality of Murcia, by volunteers of the collective, the rapid screening test in saliva of HIV.

Likewise, prevention, information and counseling programs related to HIV will be carried out in a more accessible way, completing the information that is offered.

We must remember that the City of Murcia has a Health Prevention and Promotion Service that knows the need to adopt Public Health measures for the control of sexually transmitted diseases and, in particular, AIDS, since the data Epidemiological studies indicate a late diagnosis that can be avoided by performing this rapid test.
