The Nelimarka museum in Finland has selected two works by Murcian artists Diego Lizán and Rafael Fuster for an exhibition entitled Pop Up, which can be visited until June 17.
The artists made a one-month stay, hand in hand with the Puertas de Castilla center in the city of Alajärvi and made their pieces inspired by the nature of the place and the artistic work of the Finnish artist Eero Nelimarkka.
The selected work of illustrator and graphic designer Diego Lizán is the "forest version" of his small characters who inhabit imaginary landscapes, colorful and flooded with optimism that demand a positive escape from reality, while the piece by Rafael Fuster selected for the exhibition is a sculpture.
The selected projects belong to nine young artists among whom are Anna Auzina (Latvia), Hans Arwidson (Germany), Joe James (United Kingdom), Alberto Condotta (UK), Sabra Booth (USA), Alie Kooistra (Finland) ) and Ludivine Large-Bessette (France), in addition to Lizán and Fuster.
The Nelimarkka museum that hosts the exhibition, opened its doors for the first time in 1964 and since the 1980s has maintained an international residence.
Headquarters of research and creation work for many, has provided a work space in communion with the Finnish nature that has served as the basis for carrying out this international artistic project.
