The Tuna de Magisterio of the University of Murcia has been the winner of the First Provincial Contest of Tunas, held at Bacons Bridge on Saturday, April 21.
The winners competed with the tunas of Medicine, Law and Economics of the University of Murcia.
It is the first time that the tunas compete among themselves in a regional contest.
The participating tunas enjoyed a great day of coexistence.
The afternoon of Saturday began with a parade, which was followed by the performance of the groups at the Cultural Center of Puente Tocinos.
In addition to obtaining the title of the best tuna in the region, the Tuna de Magisterio also won the individual awards 'for the best flag' and 'for the best tambourine'.
La Tuna presented a musical show in which Perráneo de la Huerta did the honors of the presentation, shining on stage the acrobatics of its three tambourines.
They presented an original song, with which he has recently won an award in the International Contest of Composers of Tunas.
It's about the song Sal niña on the balcony.
"We are satisfied and eager to move forward, more than a musical group we are a great family," says Jaime López Herrero, group leader, who makes special mention of those members who have served a quarter of a century in their ranks. and that they always "contribute so much, not only in the musical, but also in the shared experiences, anecdotes and teachings".
The Tuna de Magisterio de Murcia already achieved another success on April 13 when it won the prize for the Best Tuna in the IV Tunas National Contest 'Ciudad de Villacarrillo', in Jaén.
Next May 25 will take place the third edition of the National Competition of Tunas 'Tuna of Teaching of Murcia', to be held in San Andrés and attended by tunas throughout Spain.
