'In 2017, as we were in a negotiating process, he did not think there was a delay.
This year, without knowing the draft, it seems that they have already decided not to support them '
The Councilor for Finance, Contracting and Urban Mobility, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, believes that 'the socialist municipal group has lost its historical memory'.
Only this way it is explained that its spokesman affirms that it is the biggest delay in the history of the municipality.
'Apparently, the mayor has forgotten that the first government of the PP in the City had to approve two budgets in the first six months in front of the Consistory between June and December 1995 - precisely because the last socialist mayor left without doing it', affirms Martínez-Oliva.
On the other hand, the councilor of Finance stresses that in 2017 'since we were in a negotiating process with the then socialist spokesman, José Ignacio Gras, they were not so critical of the dates'.
On the contrary this year, without waiting to know the draft, it seems that they already have the decided position of not supporting them, which indicates that 'what in 2017 was not worth in 2018'.
Martinez-Oliva claims that the PSOE are more 'serious and rigorous, especially when budgets are going to depend on most of the actions we can perform in neighborhoods and districts'.
For that reason, the Popular councilor invites the socialist spokesperson to 'park the interests of the party and leave room for the interests of the neighbors'.
