The Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation of the City of Murcia, led by Conchita Ruiz, this morning organized the celebration of the VI Open House Days organized by the Integral Center for Childhood and Work Life Balance and Family.
"It is a unique opportunity to make known to families the work done here, a place for the attention of basic needs, socio-educational and leisure and free time, of girls and boys of the municipality of Murcia, allowing make compatible the work schedules of mothers and fathers with the attention to their daughters and sons ", explained the Councilor.
A place that makes compatible the family and work relationships that guarantee the balance between these responsibilities, to promote the conciliation of the family and work life of the working people.
It also aims to promote the incorporation of mothers and fathers into the world of work as well as leisure and free time.
From the first hour of the morning there have been activities for children under 6 years (flower crafts, bouncy castle, storytelling or varied games) and for over 6 years, (bookmarks, puppets, stilts or photocall), allowing to the families to know the center, the activities that are developed or the professionals that accompany the minors.
The aim of the Center is to offer services aimed at meeting the physical, intellectual and emotional needs of the child and youth population, providing them with an adequate infrastructure, from which to coordinate the different actions in childhood and adolescence, and offer a socializing space and personalized and comprehensive attention to families as a whole.
Integral Center for Children
It must be remembered that the Comprehensive Childhood Center is aimed at children between 16 weeks and 16 years old, with the following activities:
Infant School aimed at children from 16 weeks to 2 years, from Monday to Friday throughout the year, from 8.00 to 20.00 hours.
Toy library for children from 3 to 5 years, during the school periods between September and June, from 16.00 to 20.00 hours.
Concilia Program, for children between 6 and 16 years of age, in the school period between September and June, from 3.30 to 20.30.
Spring School, for children between 3 and 16 years, in non-school period of Holy Week and Spring Festival, from 8.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 20.30.
June school for children between 3 and 16 years of age, in the non-school period of June, from 8.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 20.30.
Summer school, for children between 3 and 16 years old during the months of July and August, from 8.00 to 14.30 without a dining room and from 8.00 to 17.00 hours with a dining room.
September School, for children between 3 and 16 years old, in the non-school period of September, from 8.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 20.30.
Christmas School, for children between 3 and 16 years old, in the non-school period of Christmas, from 8.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 20.30.
Holidays of the Educational Administration, for children between 3 and 16 years, from 8.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 20.30.
Respite service in single days, for children between 3 and 16 years old, when mothers and fathers need to leave their daughters and / or children in the center, as long as there are places available and with a maximum 4 hours a week.
Socio-educational Technical Support Service, allows to offer children and their parents a comprehensive socio-educational care, through educational strategies for the acquisition of personal and social skills that facilitate greater autonomy and social integration of people.
School of Mothers and Fathers, this service aims to address in a group the issues that affect and worry mothers, allowing them to analyze and reflect with other mothers and fathers on the situation they want for their children.
Specific attention to minors with physical, psychic and / or sensory diversity, a teacher in Special Education will devote specific attention to children who suffer physical, mental or sensory diversity, and who, due to their characteristics, need at specific moments of more specific support, although primacy at all times the integration and normality with the rest of minors.
