The Governing Board has given the green light to the call for the I prizes 'City, creativity, culture and entrepreneurship' that seek to promote and motivate entrepreneurs of cultural and creative companies, to encourage the creation and consolidation of companies in these sectors .

In addition, it will allow the identification of these companies in the municipality, the promotion of participation channels and the interrelation between them and will contribute to their greater visibility.

Likewise, public spaces will be offered and those private ones that show their interest to be incorporated as showcases for its diffusion, favoring a social recognition to this sector of economic activity.

Individuals with habitual residence in the municipality of Murcia and legal entities (small and medium-sized companies) whose registered and tax domicile is Murcia may participate.

The participation of projects of people or entities not resident or domiciled outside the municipality will also be admitted, as long as the project is planned to take place in Murcia.

Among the requirements that the projects must meet is that the start date of the activity of the Cultural and Creative Enterprise can not be before January 1, 2015, and, if it is, they must present an unpublished project, which will be produce now for the first time.

The proposals have to be related to architecture, visual arts, performing arts, crafts and antiques, cinema, design (graphic, industrial, editorial, product and interior), digital distribution, digital publishing, photography and video, participatory generation of content and social media, research and development, games, computer games, fashion, mobility and location, music, open data, cultural and natural heritage, press, content production, advertising, radio, television and new media, tourism and gastronomy, software, video and videogames.

Until the 1st of June

Applications for participation in this edition of the awards will be presented in the General Register of the City of Murcia from the day the call is published in the BORM and on the website of the City of Murcia and ends on June 1.

The City Council will make available to the interested parties a collaborative work space (Coworking) with capacity for 40 places that will allow them to develop their ideas.

The collaborative workspace will be awarded according to the date of presentation of the application.

The jury will study the project (level of development, difficulty, place of implementation, development, exhibition or representation thereof, and innovative character) and listen to entrepreneurs who will present their projects in 5 minutes.

Three prizes

The total prize money amounts to 15,000 euros divided into a first prize (with a maximum of 6,000 euros), a second (up to 5,000 euros) and a third (up to 4,000 euros).

All of them will be incorporated into the project to the 2018/2019 program of the City of Murcia in the municipal space that is considered appropriate based on their profile.

The Jury may also prepare a Directory of these companies with the projects that concur in this edition for later inclusion in programming, in cultural and creative residences, as well as in workshops held in municipal spaces.

They can also participate in the next Municipal Entrepreneurs Fair.
