Entrepreneurs and students have gathered at the UCAM to attend the Journey of success cases of tourism intelligence
The importance of technological platforms for the tourist intelligence of destinations, networking and smart growth, have been some of the topics exposed this morning, in the II Conference of tourism intelligence held at the Campus of Los Jerónimos, with the presence of experts and graduate and postgraduate students in the tourism area.
Ángel Luis Sánchez, representative of AENOR, highlighted in his speech: "For a destination to comply with the Smart concept, it must be innovative, technological and accessible to change".
In the day they have also participated;
Manuel Fernández Delgado, general director of the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia;
Belén Hidalgo, quality director of ITREM;
Esther Mínguela, entrepreneur in Localidata;
Ibon Serrano, director of Ingumma;
Raquel Morito, head of marketing at Telefónica, Ginesa Martínez del Vas, vice-dean of the degree in tourism at UCAM;
among others, who have transmitted to the participants the importance of the technology implanted in tourism.
Among the topics discussed, the growth in the hospitality industry and the tourism sector was highlighted in an accelerated way, "The future is not expected, it is invented" said Fernando Molina, giving importance to the data that are a valuable set to create tourism intelligence .
Ginesa Martínez del Vas has ensured that: "there is an important transformation in the tourism sector oriented mainly to the development of technologies, we want there to be feedback, about what other destinations or tourist companies are doing".
