The act will have as protagonists the residents of Murcia, who will be able to demonstrate their loyalty to the national flag, in the presence of members of the Sewer Air Base and the Acrobatic Parachute Patrol of the Air Force (PAPEA).
The Oath of civil personnel is celebrated within the acts of the Day of the City of Murcia and will be developed in the Teniente Avenue Flo-mesta of Murcia, on Sunday, May 20, from 10.30 o'clock.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the chief colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base and director of the Military School of Parachute 'Méndez Parada', Francisco Javier Fernández Fernández, today presented the act of Oath or Civil Promise before the Flag that was will be held on Sunday, May 20, and will have as protagonists the residents of Murcia, who can demonstrate their loyalty to the national flag in a solemn act, in the presence of members of the Sewer Air Base and the Acrobatic Parachute Patrol of the Army of Air (PAPEA).
This oath is part of the commemorative events of the Day of the City, which is celebrated on May 14, coinciding with the anniversary of the founding of the Council of Murcia (current City Council), which took place in 1266 when King Alfonso X El Sabio granted to Murcia the Rolled Privilege.
"We want to provide the opportunity to all Murcia and Murcia who want to participate in this open act, to join this celebration that symbolizes the loyalty to our flag and loyalty to our nation as civilians," said the mayor.
In 2016, coinciding with the 750th anniversary of the Council of Murcia, a total of 450 Murcians have already joined this Oath or Civil Promise, which means acquiring an individual commitment for the common good, in a civic, public and individual expression of loyalty towards Spain and towards the Spanish.
The Oath of civilian personnel will take place on Avenida Teniente Flomesta de Murcia, on Sunday, May 20, starting at 10.30.
The act will have the presence of the squad of spenders of the Sewer Air Base, Music Unit of the General Air Academy (AGA), an Honors Squad formed by personnel of the Military Parachute School 'Méndez Parada` and the Squadron of Parachute Sappers (EZAPAC).
Members of the 721 Air Force Squadron will make the air parade, which will give way to the ground in which EZAPAC vehicles will participate and will end with a parachute launch, with the Spanish flag, carried out by the Air Force Parachute Patrol of the Air Force (PAPEA).
During his speech, José Ballesta thanked the involvement of the Sewer Air Base with the city of Murcia, an institution that has 71 years of history since the year 1947 was officially established as a training center for all paratroopers belonging to the Armed Forces and the State Security Forces and Bodies.
Since its creation, more than 114,000 students have passed through this military training center for parachutists, with a current average of 1,000 students per year.

The act will begin with the surrender of honors to the flag and the National Anthem.
After receiving the News and passing the Magazine, the Oath will be carried out by the authorized civilian personnel (by means of the official formula contemplated in the Royal Decree) and, one by one, the jurors will go to kiss the flag.
After the intervention of the Colonel and the interpretation of the Hymn of the Air Force, there will be an Offering to the Fallen.
Next, the Teniente Flomesta Avenue will host a ground parade, accompanied by a pass of CASA 212 aircraft of the 721 Air Force Squadron
Up to 300 seats: how to register
To participate in this Oath of civilian personnel, you must register, as of today, on the website 'eventos.murcia.es' or go to the Communication Office of the Town Hall located in La Glorieta (from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday).
Those interested should fill in a form with their personal data and will receive instructions for the correct development of the act.
There is a maximum of 300 applications that will be granted in order of registration.
All participants, who must be over 18 years of age, will receive an individualized certificate.
