All this makes what should be a peaceful walk in a place that would have to be idyllic in an adventure full of discomforts and risks.
Ayuso, who has visited the Mota del Río and has once again checked the poor condition in which it is located on both sides of the city, considers "absolutely necessary" the actions to be undertaken in the area and which are even related With safety.
The large number of reeds, which even prevent water from being seen, can cause overflows;
the accumulated garbage in the margins and the bushes can cause fires and the lack of illumination already has given rise to some episodes of harassment to women and of exhibitionism at dusk.
Another problem has to do with the difficulty of accessing the bike lane from nearby streets and even those who use emergency vehicles must travel a long distance on foot.
The abandonment of the rugby field of La Raya and its surroundings, equally alongside the river, and that of La Contraparada is also evident and this contributes to increasing the poor state of a site that could be used by many more users if a connection were established. between the bike lane and the university campus of Los Jerónimos, which many students attend on a bicycle every day.
Ayuso recalls "the unfulfilled promises" by the PP led by Mayor José Ballesta in the municipality in relation to the issue and speaks of "marginalization" to which populations like Javalí Viejo, Javalí Nuevo, Puebla de Soto, La Raya, Rincón de Beniscornia, La Arboleja, La Ñora, Rincón de Seca, Los Dolores, Bacons Bridge, Beniaján, Llano de Brujas, Santa Cruz, Alquerías and El Raal.

In the proposal several measures are proposed, the first of which is to urge the team of the Government of the City of Murcia to demand that the CHS maintain in good condition the entire section of the Segura river channel as it passes through the municipality of Murcia, performing it in a respectful way with fauna and flora.
The lighting of the bicycle lane, the opening of more accesses to the same including a connection from the campus of Los Jerónimos, the arrangement of the pavement, the placement of banks, shaded areas and sources of drinking water and the installation of information panels are other issues defendants in the socialist motion.
The PSOE, which stresses the need for more police presence in the area, also claims that La Contraparada is prepared and its interpretation center is opened, as well as putting value on the rugby field of La Raya.
