Before the admission to proceedings by the National Court of the complaint filed for violation of fundamental rights for lack of environmental impact study of the works of arrival of the AVE on the surface, Cambiemos Murcia has claimed the mayor, José Ballesta, to adopt "urgent measures "to protect the fundamental rights of the residents of Santiago el Mayor.
Councilman Sergio Ramos has asked both the councilor and the rest of the responsible public administrations concerned to "abandon the race towards the absurdity that assumes that high speed arrives on the surface of Murcia, above the legality and the majority will of citizenship ", and listen to the neighbors' demands.
In addition, Ramos recalled that the City of Murcia approved more than two years ago to file a contentious-administrative appeal, relying on reports from the municipal legal services, for the same events that now the National Court has considered sufficient to admit the complaint process.
These same indications -remember since Cambiemos Murcia- also led the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament to ask the Spanish State for reports on the legality of the works.
The municipal training has denounced that "once again, the government team has made clear its lack of democratic spirit by not interposing the administrative contentious approved by the Plenary, as dozens of motions that it permanently decides not to apply".
"And in this case, it has left vulnerable people living in the affected neighborhoods, who, with great selfless effort, are asserting their rights in the institutions," he concluded.
