The Hall of Councilors of the City of Cartagena hosts this afternoon, at 6 pm, the signing of a Protocol of Intent between the City of Cartagena and the University of Murcia with the aim of providing the International University of the Sea with a permanent seat, ceding the use of a space in the Youth Resource Center of Quarries, where they can also make use of common facilities, existing there.
Cartagena was the place where UNIMAR began its journey in 1984. For this reason, the City of Cartagena was honored by Rector Orihuela, in December 2016, as the founding seat of this educational project that, over the years, has been consolidated as a reference in the scientific and cultural study of the different areas of knowledge.
The Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón Hernández and the Rector of the UMU, José Orihuela Calatayud, will intervene in the act.
