Murcia will have a new regional event that combines the exhibition, promotion and dissemination of the works of Murcia artists.
'La Mudanza' is a day of coexistence between artists and art lovers that will be celebrated coinciding with the changes of the exhibitions of the open-air museum of the Santa Quiteria palace.
On that day, which will always be Sunday, there will be an art market in which artists, painters, illustrators and sculptors, will be able to publicize, sell and make live demonstrations of their work, as long as they meet the requirements necessary.
The first 'move' will be held next Sunday, April 15, from 10 to 15 hours, in the Plaza de Santa Eulalia and nearby streets and to participate artists must register in advance on the website eventos.murcia.es.
The councilor for Tourism Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco, explained that "his name of 'The move' refers to change, evokes dynamism, movement and activity, agitation, a performance of the projection phase of DNA- Urban of Santa Eulalia, where neighbors and artists are involved, this event takes place in Santa Eulalia because it is where the open-air museum of Santa Quiteria is located, icon and symbol of 'La Mudanza' and because it is the neighborhood of the artists, with identification plates of the same ones, where numerous workshops and houses of painters, sculptors, etc. were located, relevant to Murcia ".
The initiative will be held four times a year, each quarter, coinciding on a Sunday with the change of season (spring, summer, autumn and winter).
For its part, the Councilor for Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, explained that "this event is directed and focused on two aspects: both towards the artists and towards the neighbors, it will serve as a meeting point for artists, fostering the relationship between They will offer the possibility of selling their works, of promoting themselves, while the neighbors will be able to enjoy a Sunday market on art, walking through this
Bohemian neighborhood, enjoy the art and seeing exhibitions, and making purchases of the different works ".
In addition, the youngest can participate in children's workshops related to art.
New exhibition of the Santa Quiteria Palace
The new exhibition of the open-air museum of the Santa Quiteria Palace, whose common theme will be spring, will be made only by Murcian women.
On Sunday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in 'La mudanza' they will paint live at the Plaza de Santa Eulalia the works that will make up, from Saturday 21 April, the new exhibition.
The protagonists of the new exhibition are Carmen Artigas, Inma Escudero, Santi García Cánovas, Clara Ledo, Andrea Lopardo, Eva Mauricio, Concha Martínez Montalvo, María Joaquina Sánchez Dato, Guillermina Sánchez Oró, Sofía Tornero, Belén Pereñíguez, Gelu Pérez, Ana Piñera and Noemi Yepes.
