A conference at the UMU analyzes it]
Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón, professor of the Department of Mathematics and Computing of the University of La Rioja, will give a conference on Thursday, April 12, titled "A theorem called Desire", which will take place in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Mathematics .
Outstanding scientific communicator, Sáenz de Cabezón was winner of the contest of scientific monologues 'FameLab' in 2013 and founder of the group of scientific monologues'The Big Van Theory', with whom he has made more than two hundred performances.
Eduardo Sáenz is characterized by dynamic and entertaining conferences, taking up topics of general interest to disseminate the importance of mathematics.
In the case of this talk, will go back to the work of Tennessee Williams `A tram called desire`, winner in 1948 of a PrizePulitzer.
For the scientific popularizer, desire is one of the driving forces of human action.
Starting from that premise, the objective of his paper is to talk about the expression of the mathematics of desire and how they can throw data of our interest through algorithms.
This talk is part of the conferences organized by the seminar of the Department of Mathematics of the UMU, which began in December 1994 with the idea of bringing mathematical knowledge to different sectors of our society.
