The president of Fampace presents tomorrow the conference of Elena Pérez Aldegunde about the crimes and potentialities of the internet and the responsibility of the tutors for an adequate handling by the smallest

Tomorrow from 7:00 pm, the Local Development Agency of the City of Murcia, located on Azarbe del Papel Street, hosts a talk on resources for safe internet use by young people, led by journalist Elena Pérez Aldegunde, and that will be presented by the president of the Federation of Associations of Parents of Cooperatives of Teaching Centers (Fampace), Rafael Martínez.

Martinez, president of the federation of Ampas of the cooperatives, affirms that "today nobody questions the enormous potentiality of the information technologies, as it is the case of the social networks, that can be an excellent tool, since it connects people from around the world, but it can be perverted in inadequate hands. "

Also, "the current generation has been born surrounded by all this technology, so they are digital natives, and that is precisely why we believe that they run the risk of not perceiving the threat in something so everyday for them, like social networks".

As parents, "we are convinced that our obligation and our responsibility is to be prepared to guide and help them, as in any other phase of their learning," says the president of Fampace.

The event is part of the days developed by the School of Parents launched by the municipality of Murcia and has the collaboration of associations and entities of the different educational communities of the municipality, as is the case of Fampace.

The duration of the talk is two hours and the organization has enabled a kangaroo classroom service to facilitate assistance to parents.

The presentation by Elena Pérez Aldegunde, coordinator of the REDponsables project, developed by the CARM, raises questions such as what are the dangers young people face in social networks and how to prevent them.

In this sense, the journalist points as the first step to consider by the parents, to know the digital reality in which the children develop, to make them aware of the dangers that can be found.

In addition, the crimes of those who can be victims and how to prevent or report them will be announced, as well as messages about how to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Internet if it is used from responsible education, prudence and knowledge.
