More than 30 people work on the set-up of 700,000 square meters of grass (07/04/2018)

The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, through the concessionaire company STV Gestión, continues working to improve the image of the different green zones.

Different teams are performing lawn mowing in the more than 500 gardens that the municipality of Murcia has, operating in almost 700,000 square meters.

These works seek to reduce the height of the lawn, mainly the thick range (Pennisetum clandestium) both in the almost 300 gardens of the capital, five of them historic, as in the more than 200 that currently exist in the districts of Murcia.

In addition, the City Council continues its policy of care and maintenance of the so-called biological cycle, so that all the remains of the pruning are deposited in different areas of the green areas, in order to avoid their transfer to another place and thus betting on the so-called 'biological fingerprint'.

At the moment several teams formed by a total of 30 people are working for the maintenance of these meadows.

We must remember that last month we proceeded to replant with more than 400,000 grass seeds from the green areas of Murcia and districts.
