The Councilor for Education, Rafael Gomez, said today that the Virgen del Rosario school, in the neighborhood of La Cueva in the Murcia district of Monteagudo, will open its doors on Monday with total normality, "guaranteeing the return of students to the classrooms after the holidays of Holy Week and Spring Festival ".
This will be possible after the repair work undertaken to correct the damage that the strong gusts of wind caused on the façade on March 11.
This was confirmed after a visit together with the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá.
Specifically, the north facade is being repaired and the rest of the school's facades are being reinforced.
The actions carried out by the Autonomous Community of Murcia amount to more than 50,000 euros.
It should be remembered that during these weeks the 90 students of the center temporarily moved to another school in Monteagudo, the CEIP Juan XXIII, to make the works compatible with the normal development of the classes.
