The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, presented this morning the 3rd edition of the Women's Race of Murcia, which will be held on April 15 and involving thousands of runners throughout the municipality.
As in previous editions, the race has a distance of 5 km with exit and finish in Avenida Teniente Flomesta, and has the collaboration of the City of Murcia, the Autonomous Community, the Athletics Federation of Murcia and La Opinion.
"We are for the third consecutive year before a sports party, which can be done both walking and running with the goal that all women, regardless of physical preparation, have a place," he explained.
We must remember that all women over 12 years who wish to and are properly registered, without age limit, wearing the commemorative shirt of this edition 2018 that will be delivered with the withdrawal of the race bib, chip and bag .
"We are talking about a great opportunity to claim full equality in the sport of Murcia and, especially, in the popular races, where female participation has increased exponentially in recent years, with one woman in three being one woman", explained the councilor.
The tour will depart from Teniente Flomesta to Plaza Martinez Tornel, Avenida Gran Via to Plaza Fuensanta, where it turns 180º and again by Gran Vía to Plaza Martínez Tornel and Lieutenant Flomesta until you reach the Puente Martínez Caballero, which crosses and it is taken in direction by the avenue of the Safe River until the place of the Volunteers, point where it is connected by the avenue Infante Juan Manuel (same sense that the circulation) until South Round, where another 180º turn is realized to return to the Infante Juan Manuel Avenue to the Volunteer Square, where the bridge will be turned onto the Red Cross Plaza, where the finish line will be located.
Registration can be confirmed until Tuesday, April 10 at 8:00 p.m.

Solidary character
It is worth noting that, once again, with the registration, the participants can allocate a solidarity euro to UNICEF's 'Drops for Niger' campaign, acquiring the bracelet with which great Spanish athletes collaborate.
There will be trophies for the first three classified of the general, existing also special prizes for the most veteran woman, the most numerous club / sports association, the most numerous sports center / gymnasium, most numerous family (up to the third degree of consanguinity), company more numerous, association of more numerous woman and educational center more numerous (students, teachers and maintenance personnel).
