The Plaza Romea will be the stage next Wednesday of a Paparajotada Solidaria in benefit of the Association of Clowns of Pupaclown Hospital.
The initiative, which has been organized by the Regional Federation of Murcian Students, Feremur, and the City Council, will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
During that time a cooking class will be offered live to teach how to make this typical Murcian sweet, which is expected to produce about 3,000 units.
Its presentation has been carried out by the Councilors of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services and Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez and Conchita Ruiz, respectively, together with Rafael Olmos, President of Feremur, Adrián Flores Alegría, external trainer of the Center of Tourism Qualification of Murcia and president of Amureco, and Antonio Reyes Rubio, winner of the Madrid Fusión 2018.
The event has the collaboration of the Murcia Association of Cooperative Restoration, Amureco, whose members will be responsible for making this traditional sweet, a work that will broadcast live ROM (Radio Online Murcia).
In addition, the Paparajotada Solidaria has also received the support of El Corte Inglés, which will donate the necessary products for the preparation of the paparajotes, and the Graffiti Office of Murcia, dependent on the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, with the collaboration of Ferrovial Servicios, which will produce a live mural that will reproduce the image of Pupaclown.
The collection obtained will go to the Pupaclown Hospital Clown Association.
For this, the price of paparajote will be 1 euro.
In the presentation of the event, which took place this morning, Rebeca Pérez, responsible for the area of ​​Youth of the City, has given 'the best of welcome to an initiative that leaves directly from young people and we want to have continuity in the next years within the program of celebrations'.
Conchita Ruiz, Councilor for Social Rights and Development Cooperation, stressed the importance that 'the solidarity of Murcia is present also in the moments of greatest fun and joy, when we celebrate our Spring Festival, making extensive this great work in benefit of the whole society. '
