The Municipal Social Services Center of Murcia Norte has organized an exhibition called 'We: the Mediterranean Forest' installed in the training center, in the Barrio del Espíritu Santo.
The sample, dependent on the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation, directed by Conchita Ruiz, allows visitors to discover the benefits that the care of the natural environment has for the ecological balance of the planet and the resources it provides to the human being.
For this purpose, it has a set of activities that, through the use of the senses, allow the viewer to approach the subject.
First of all, an eight-minute audio-visual is shown, which serves as a presentation about a relationship between the human being and the forest.
Added to this is "The scents of the forest", a module composed of four photographs accompanied by a device that, by pressing a button and bring the face, emits the smell of these plants and flowers and allows knowing their characteristics.
Finally, the exhibition has the workshop "the forest laboratory", with elements for observation and knowledge based on the leaves, barks and seeds, and accompanied by two magnifying glasses for the observation of the samples.
All the tour is done accompanied by the monitors, responsible for giving the pertinent instructions to complete the visit and discovering all the information.
The sample is located in the Training Center located in Calle Escuelas de Espinardo and can be visited by any group or school, by appointment, until the end of the school year.
