The Councilor for Sports and Health of the City of Murcia, Felipe Coello, presented this morning the I-Open International Gymnastics Rhythmic and Aesthetic Group "City of Murcia" organized by the Club Gymnos'85 in conjunction with the consistory.
The event will take place on April 7 and 8 at the Sports Palace of Murcia and will feature two gymnastic activities, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Group Aesthetics.
For this, it has the collaboration of sports federations corresponding to both modalities, as well as the General Sports Directorate of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
"From the City of Murcia we continue with our commitment to promote the realization of events and activities that involve all sports Murcia wants to be a reference, we have good facilities, leading clubs nationwide, a climate that allows outdoor practice and the support of the team of José Ballesta, "said Felipe Coello during the presentation.
This is an International Open that will have the participation of gymnasts of all available categories, youngest, juvenile, children, junior and youth arrivals from France (Renmore Gimnastic), Ireland (GRThuir), as well as with the presence of teams from Spain (Basque Country, Catalonia, Andalusia and Murcia).

In addition, the Federation of Gymnastics of the Region of Murcia takes advantage of the dispute of this event to celebrate the same Saturday, April 7, from 9:30 to 12:00 hours, the control tests to select the gymnasts that will represent to Murcia in the Spanish Youth Championship.
One of the great novelties will be the presence of the Group Aesthetic Gymnastics World Champion, Santiago Rodríguez, and the nine times champion of Spain with Rhythmic Gymnastics with Down Syndrome, Sara Marín.
There will also be a tribute to the two gymnasts of Club Gymnos'85 that have been components of the Spanish national team, Elvira Sánchez Hernández and Miriam Belando Consuegra.
A special moment in which the work will be recognized, posthumously, to Juan Sebastián López, one of the founders of the Federation of Gymnastics of the Region of Murcia.
