Murcians and visitors can enjoy from next week a huge ferris wheel in the Plaza Circular, which will bring the garden to the heart of the city.
This square will once again be one of the epicenters of the program of activities organized for Fiestas de Primavera, turning it into a recreation of the Murcian garden.
Thus, the wheel, similar to that existing in La Ñora, will reach 12 meters in height, with 10 meters in diameter and weigh five tons.
It is motorized and built with quality materials, with steel structure and wood and fiberglass incrustations that give it a vintage touch, since the idea is to install it permanently in a square or roundabout in the municipality.
In this way they will represent different scenes of garden, with silhouettes of characters in steel corten and with the wheel as a thread, being the main character and water that emanate from the source
The installation will begin next Tuesday and Murcia will be able to enjoy it in the Plaza Circular until the end of the Spring Festival.
Under the giant ferris wheel various children's activities will be held such as workshops, live demonstrations, crafts ...
This initiative is part of the large canvas huertana nature that will be installed in the Plaza Circular composed of about 2,000 kilos of fruit and vegetables cut and planted in the beds (tomatoes, oranges, lemons, cauliflower, green pepper, red and yellow, artichokes , grapefruit, celery and zucchini).
In addition, there will be present the most representative varieties of trees of the Murcian garden such as lemon, orange, and palm trees and more than 20,000 varieties of flowers and aromatic herbs.
