Its commitment to excellence and quality, both in the degrees it offers and in the actions it carries out in the social sphere, is what has led Mutua Universal to award the Catholic University of Murcia in the third edition of its Innovation Awards and Health, in the Institutional category.
During the ceremony, held in Madrid, Ferrovial Services, Grupo ANTOLIN RyA, Cosentino and SHELL Spain were also awarded.
Juan Echevarría, president of the Executive Board of Mutua Universal, recognized the importance of a mutual giving an award to a university.
"In any meeting held, it is always said that the problem of Spain today is the lack of values, and these should be cultivated in the university," he said.
For his part, Francisco Martínez, director of Large Accounts Mutua University said that the UCAM enjoys a national and international prestige "indisputable, well deserved", as it is "an institution that is betting very strongly for actions of solidarity, and for making the social commitment the axis of its activity ".
José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, picked up the award and was grateful, saying that "from the institution we represent we are committed to quality research, technological innovation, especially in the field of health and sports , for internationalization, and for Social Responsibility ", and recalled that" the UCAM is a young and welfare university, whose function is to educate in the values ​​of Christian humanism to create a more just society ".
During the event, Rafael Matesanz, founder of the National Transplant Organization, gave a speech. He has also recently been named Doctor Honoris Causa by the UCAM.
