Carmen Castro, a feminist activist specializing in European gender policies, will present on Thursday, March 22, at 7:00 pm, her book 'Policies for equality' at the Colette Letras y Tragos bookstore (C / Cánovas del Castillo, 17, Murcia) .
The activity is part of the cycle of contemporary thinkers' De / Construyendo`, organized by the area of ​​debate, thought and social commitment of the UMU coordinated by Cristina Guirao.
The aim of the cycle is to make visible the contributions of women to current thinking from different cultural areas: poetry, essay, novel, history and philosophy.
In his book, Castro analyzes the effects of male behavior in European societies and provides clues to see what new scenarios are open for equality policies.
Specifically, birth permits are one of the cornerstones to gauge the impact of these policies.
The act will be presented by Gloria Alarcón, president of the Feminist Policy Forum.
