The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the councilman of Pedanías, Participation and Decentralization, Marco Antonio Fernandez, has visited this morning the asphalt works that are being carried out in the Huerta Street of Murcia of El Raal.
The City Council responds to a neighborhood demand with this action that began last Friday with the milling of the firm and that will end tomorrow.
The works, which affect a total of 2,800 m2 of this road that gives access to the soccer field of the hamlet, are part of Operation Asphalt, for which the City is renewing a total of 225 streets and roads of all districts of the municipality, with an overall length greater than 43 linear kilometers.
All these streets have been proposed and approved by the different municipal councils, prioritizing the asphalting of those that are in worse condition or that are more used by the neighbors.
The City Council's investment amounts to 1.5 million euros.
The project includes road repairs, road surface painting, repaving and paving of streets, with the aim of eliminating potholes, deformations and other damages, thus improving road safety.
Neighborhood participation
During his visit, José Ballesta held a participatory breakfast with residents of the district, who transferred to the mayor his proposals and ideas for improvement for the town, and toured the facilities of the school Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores.
