More than half a thousand neighbors and sports fans have participated in the second popular race held in the Murcia neighborhood of Santiago el Mayor;
In total and in different categories, 550 athletes participated.
The adult test began at 10:30 am, following the route of Fuensanta, Miguel Angel Blanco, Morera and Paseo de Florencia, to the finish line at Pio XII
In the tests, organized with the support of the Neighborhood Board and with the collaboration of local commerce, the absolute champion of the race was Pedro Antonio Cabrera, who invested a time of 27: 28,981 to cover the distance of the race (8 km), while in the feminine category the winner was Cristina Sánchez.
Different tests dedicated to children under 18 were also disputed, ending the day with the awards ceremony, some of them by Ana Jiménez, the "Abuela del Soterramiento" and by Joaquín Sánchez, "El Cura";
Finally, all the neighbors could enjoy a giant paella for 600 diners.
