The Local Trade Council, chaired by the Councilor for Trade, Organization and Institutional Relations of the City of Murcia, Maruja Pelegrin, has met this morning and has agreed to agree within the framework of this body a call for grants of € 300,000 for the economic activities of proximity located in the area of ​​potential direct impact of the burial works.
In the morning of today the Asomada Observatory has presented to the members of the Council a study where they begin to materialize the possible economic damages that the area will suffer.
With the approval of this study, "the government team anticipates the manifestation of the damages that may suffer the merchants and opens a line of aid for the maintenance of the cost of services such as electricity, water, internet, self-employed or the social security of the associated works or rent of the real estate, "the councilor explained.
In the coming days a detailed study of the types of businesses in the area to assess whether the aid should attend to any economic sector that may be affected by these works, such as those relating to food.
"The only objective is to make some bases that anticipate the cost of these merchants carrying out the necessary works for the underground railway, which will eliminate a historical barrier for the southern neighborhoods, assuming an economic and social boost unprecedented in the municipality, "the councilor concluded.
