The Municipal Socialist Group has demanded the PP the immediate convocation of the political groups and the Platform for the Defense of Heritage to set up the Municipal Heritage Advisory Council, which was approved unanimously in the plenary session last May.
"There is a lot of work to be done so it is urgent to start this body in order to meet its objective of contributing to protect our cultural assets, whether buildings, buildings or archaeological remains," said Councilor Begoña García Retegui
He also clarified that "we still do not know who will be part of this Council, we only hope that the Ballesta government team does not do as it does with the Old Prison Committee, where not one expert woman participates."
He also recalled that the Municipal Heritage Advisory Council was a proposal of the Platform for the Defense of Heritage, which is currently claiming the protection of the Royal Powder Factory.
"There have been many and very important real estate that our municipality has lost over the past decades.We have a pending issue with the defense of our heritage and a responsibility to future generations, so as soon as we have that body working to ensure our history is preserved more and better will be the heritage of our municipality. "
