The faces of 12 neighbors of different ages, neighborhoods and districts star in these posters that will flood the city to "exalt the beauty of the Murcian spring and our roots huertanas," said José Ballesta.
The images are accompanied by phrases that highlight characteristic aspects of the festivities such as "My children dress from Huertanos since they were born", "I love the light that Murcia has in the Spring Festival" or "My favorite dish is paparajotes".
This year has introduced another novelty: the red carnation, a flower that decorates the poster and that, in addition, the Murcia will be able to wear their lapels in the form of sheet, after the distribution of 20,000 units.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, and members of the Municipal Corporation, today presented the poster for the Spring Festival 2018 that, "for the first time in history, will have as an image the face of residents of the municipality, Murcia of different ages, neighborhoods and districts, which star in these posters that will flood the city to exalt the beauty of the Murcian spring and our roots huertanas, "said José Ballesta.
"Participation has been the philosophy that has guided this campaign, as the neighbors are the true protagonists of these days of light and joy in which spring emerges in every corner of the city," said the councilor, who added that the parties "will begin on Sunday 1 and end on Sunday, April 8".
More than 200 people were encouraged to participate in this public call that consisted of an open photo session that was held on February 24, in the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
From the set of images a total of 12 people have been selected whose face is the image of these parties and who wanted to be present today in the presentation that has been developed in the Floridablanca Garden.
