The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, directed by José Guillén, and the concessionaire STV Gestión, is working on the emptying and cleaning in depth of different large lakes in the municipality.
Among the lakes that are being emptied for their integral cleaning are the Salitre, the Silk, the Balsas de Atalayas or San Ginés, among others.
To do this, before proceeding with the emptying, all the necessary safety regulations are removed, in accordance with the different fauna found there, to be placed again as soon as the lake is filled with clean and treated water.
In particular, the cleaning of the Fofó garden has already been carried out, and for this month it is expected to take place in the Salitre and Silk gardens.
On the other hand, for the month of April it will be the turn of the lake of Ronda Sur and that of Atalayas.
"We understand that these are spaces where an important part of the life of green areas is carried out, so it is necessary that they be completely emptied and cleaned by professionals in depth", explains the mayor of Modernization of Urban Administration and Development , José Guillén.
These works are developed by a team of eight people, who come to show the constant work of the parks and gardens services to get the best possible care and maintenance of the green leisure areas for the enjoyment of all Murcia.
