The XV commemoration of brain week in Murcia will take place from 8 to 16 March.

This event, which covers a heterogeneous audience, has been held for 20 years in more than 100 countries.

In the Region it has been celebrated since 2003 without interruption.

The activities are aimed at disseminating knowledge of brain functions, in a relaxed and fun environment.

The XV commemoration of brain week in Murcia will take place from 8 to 16 March.

This event, which covers a heterogeneous audience, has been held for 20 years in more than 100 countries.

In the Region it has been celebrated since 2003 without interruption.

The activities are aimed at disseminating knowledge of brain functions, in a relaxed and fun environment.

In Murcia, this year the topics include from love to music or chocolate.

In addition, some include fear, addictions and the role of women in neuroscience.

The organizer is María Trinidad Herrero, director of the University Institute of Research on Aging and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia, which is responsible for the implementation of this activity in Murcia since its first edition.

The commemoration starts on March 8 in the Assembly Hall of the Real Casino of Murcia, through the talk 'Brain, women and science.

Brain of man, brain of woman 'in charge of the Lyceum of science of the Region of Murcia, that will have the speakers María Concepción Maeztu, Ana Morales Ortiz, María Luisa Laorden and María Trinidad Herrero, accompanied by Juan Antonio Megías, president of the Real Casino of Murcia.

Throughout the days that the event takes place, and in different places in the city of Murcia, attendees can enjoy varied activities such as lectures' What is it for and how does the brain work?

To these conferences we must also add activities such as a poster contest, a chocolate workshop and emotions and even a wine tasting to stimulate the senses.
